Do you have to be a first-time homebuyer in order to qualify for down payment assistance?
No. There are programs available for those that are not considered first-time homebuyers.
Who qualifies as a first-time homebuyer for these programs?
Anyone who has not had an ownership in a primary residence within the past 3 years, A single parent / displaced homemaker who owned only with a spouse, and those that owned a home that was not paffixed to a permanent foundation.
How much financial assistance can I receive?
There are many options available. We work mostly with programs that will allow up to 5% of the homes value in down payment assistance.
What income limits qualify for assistance?
We have programs that fit for all ranges of income.
Is there a minimum credit score needed to qualify for down payment assistance?
Yes. Programs we work with will require a minimum 640 credit score.
Do I need to complete a homebuyer education course to qualify?
Most programs do require a homebuyer course. These courses are online, free, and usually take less than 2 hopurs to complete.
What are the interest rates for these programs?
Interest rates are set by either the assistance program or the lender offering the loan. These rates fluctuate with the market.
How long does it take to get approved for these programs?
Once your application is filled out and supporting documents are provided, you can be approved in as little as 1 business day.
